FAQ
1. How often should my windows be cleaned?
We recommend you should have your windows cleaned at the very least twice a
year. By having your windows cleaned by a professional on a regular basis, he/she
can remove dirt, pollen and bugs, giving your home a nice year-round brilliance.
If your glass is not cleaned on a regular basis, hard water stains can occur
over time. These "hard water spots" occur when minerals like calcium
and iron from water, such as from your sprinkler system, get into the pores
of the glass. Once this happens, no amount of scrubbing, scraping, etc. will
completely remove it.
2. What exactly do you do?
Here's a complete description of how we clean your windows every time. We start
out by removing and marking all screens. We hand wash both sides of your screens
with a soft bristle brush using biodegradable soap. We put the screens aside
to dry. We then start cleaning the outside of your windows first, using a soft
washer and a very concentrated solution called Glisten. This window cleaning
solution will literally make your windows sparkle. We then use a scraper to
get off the paint over-spray, bug marks, sap, etc.
After thoroughly wetting the windows again with a strip washer and Glisten,
we'll squeegee the water off and then towel dry around the pane where water
collects. After all the outside windows are done, we'll move inside and repeat
the process. When we're inside we'll clean the tracks and the window sills.
We pride ourselves on our perfectionism. All of our work is satisfaction guaranteed.
Any streaks, smears or finger pointers will be dealt with immediately.
3. How much do you charge?
When first entering this business, we had some decisions to make. We spent the
most time on one question. Do we offer an economy, quick, in-n-out window washing
job, or do we offer a thorough, top quality job? We made the right decision
by deciding to offer a top notch service to our customers. Our pricing is comparable
to other top quality window washing companies. Of course there will always be
people offering cut-rate services, but I believe you get what you pay for.
Though we prefer to come out and see the actual location in order to give you a true cost, you can calculate an approximate amount by measuring the base of your window (width)added to the height, multiply this by $1.00. Anything over the number 10 will be will be considered a specialty window and will have an additional cost. This will give you a close indication of the cost for glass cleaning. Sunscreens, shades screens and bug screens are charged by the degree of difficulty of removing and reinstalling after cleaning.
4. Are you insured?
Yes we are! As well as licensed and bonded. We will gladly supply you with all
the necessary documentation.
5. What do I need to do before you come?
We recommend you move all fragile items and any decorations off windows and
sills. Kids and animals should be kept away from work area and if you don't
want us moving your furniture, we'll understand.
6. Do I have to be home during estimate or actual cleaning?
No you do not need to be home for the estimate or actually cleaning. We can
arrange a suitable solution that would put you at ease as well as make it as
easy as possible to minimize any inconvenience to you.
7. What if I'm not satisfied?
Simply notify us within 24 hours of your services and we will gladly return
and correct any cleaning issues.
8. What materials are used in the process?
We use a bio-degradable solution called Glisten along with a soft strip washer
for scrubbing and wetting windows, a scrapper (a new blade for each job), ultra
fine steel wool, a variety of different size squeegees (new rubbers for each
job) and lint free towels to wipe the squeegees between each stroke as well
as wiping down the excess water along the window sills.
9. What should the results be?
You should see clearly through your windows without smudges or water drippings
around any edges. Your window sills should also be free of water drippings and
any dirt build up.
